The Centenary Run, is coordinated between the Makerere At 100 secretariat, and the Makerere Endowment Fund. Commonly referred to as Mak-Run, the initiative is an annual event that assists the University in raising financial resources to support of the different development projects that improve the University experience, including facilitating the construction of a student center.
The inaugural Mak-Run was officially flagged off in 2018.
The Centenary Run is therefore, organized under the lenses of Mak-Run, to bring together a wider participation of the University’s stakeholder’s, in a marathon of 21 Kilometers through the great hills of Kampala to celebrate Makerere at 100 through sports.
The proceeds of the Run will go towards the renovation and improvement of the students’ halls of residents that have over the years not been in a good state.
