Topic: Leveraging 100 Years of Excellence in Building Transformed Society

On 9th October 2021 during the 59th Independence Day Celebrations held at Kololo Independence Grounds, the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni officially unveiled the Mak@100 Centenary Logo and flagged off the Makerere University Centenary Celebrations.

The year-long celebrations will take note of past achievements and make new commitments towards creating a new model through common purpose, vision, thoughts and actions to reposition Makerere as an innovative top-notch institution in Africa, and thought-leader in a fast-changing world.

The goal of the celebrations is to bring together staff, students, alumni and all stakeholders in a series of multifaceted events to mark 100 years of Makerere’s existence.

The Stakeholder Mobilisation is one of the Mak@100 events where the detailed programme of year-long celebrations will be shared and all parties invited to renew their commitment to make Makerere University Greater and Mightier in the years to come.
